Our History

Westlie Motor Company opened on Central Ave in Downtown Minot ND in April of 1921.

This was the beginning of a tradition of leadership in the community, of pride in quality products and of service customers depend on. Today, Westlie Ford Lincoln proudly adheres to that fine tradition.

In 1927 Ford Temporally ceased the manufacture of Model T Trucks. Westlies knew area customers would still need trucks so we started ordering the parts from Ford and assembling them locally. Westlies set up an assembly line in the second floor of the dealsership and in 1927 - 1928 turned out 88 new trucks.

In 1956 Westlies moved its headquarters of operations from Central Ave to its current Broadway location. In 1958 the one story addition was added in the southwest corner housing the parts and service departments today.
